2025, Canberra Information & Support Day

Event description
Facilitated by our Programs Manager Robyn Smith, you’ll hear from different panels of experts who will provide evidence-based information relevant to the hereditary cancer community.
These days are intended to be a 'catch all' event where you can collect information about many aspects of inherited cancer risk in one place.
If you or someone in your family carries a gene mutation such as BRCA, ATM, PALB2, CHEK2 or RAD51C, lynch syndrome gene mutations, or if you have a strong family history of breast, ovarian, bowel or prostate cancer, this day is for you!
Event details
This event will include 2 panel discussions and plenty of time for networking:
- Panel 1 - Genetics update, talking to family about hereditary cancer risk, mental health, prostate cancer risk/screening information
- Panel 2 - Options to manage cancer risk (medication, screening and surgical) for bowel, breast, gynaecological and other cancers
- Panel 3 - Menopause, IVF and Preimplantation Genetic Testing, cancer treatment and research
You are welcome to bring family, friends or a support person. It is fine for you to only attend the parts of the event that are relevant for you.
